Engine packed in after a month

bought a car from CBS Autos. just over a month later the engine packed in. fair enough an old car, but the age of a car does not affect my consumer rights which states I should have been entitled to a free repair which was never offered to me, first I got told they didn't know how much it was going to cost me (shouldn't cost me anything). second they offered to look at it and then ignored several emails before saying after me declining their offer they werent offering again (I did not decline their offer). anybody who is thinking of buying a car here email me first (Jrstevenson1987@Gmail.com) and I can forward all correspondence (letters and emails) to you to prove their complete lack of customer service and disregard of the consumer rights act (honestly it has to be seen to be believed). give your money to a more reliable company. I will be contacting all relevant authorities regarding this company in the new year. the only reason I gave this company one star is because zero is not an option
