Extremely bad customer service

Ascot Car Sales is as great seller, unless you need to use your 3 month warranty which they guarantee the engine and gear box. They gave consent for a garage to look at the car and that the garage would deal with them directly rather than us as the customer who brought the car as they would be the ones paying the invoice. Sounds simple and straight forward. This company then gave consent for the work to be carried out and then they would pay the invoice directly. However this company not only ignored 4 days worth of calls from the garage but also myself as a customer who brought the car who actually were supposed to be nothing to do with payment at all. The garage were concerned that they couldn't get get hold of them and asked myself to try. I called over a period of 3/4 days with no answer on the telephone or if someone did answer the phone it was the company's "cleaner" who seemed to know nothing about anything or anyone and promised to pass on messages but never did. I was left stranded with NO car even though the work was carried out within 36 hours of the car being at the garage. It was all ready to go but the company would not pay the invoice. In the end after getting extremely fed up of nearly a whole working week with NO car that WAS repaired just NOT paid for. It was Friday late afternoon and I had enough of being fobbed off. I had to withhold my number to get any response and to my great surprise (not) it was the same "cleaner" again who denied any knowledge of any conversation. This is very odd considering the company number links directly to the manager's mobile number. After a long heated argument of threatening trading standards, the "cleaner" said he would not be able to do anything until Monday morning (the company is open all weekend and so is the car garage). After 10 minutes the garage called to say I could finally pick up my car that had been ready for days. I feel if I hadn't been forceful (believe me I meant every word I said and this company is a joke) then my invoice would not have been paid. I would personally avoid at all costs unless you want a "cleaner" to sell you a car.
