I'm not a criminal, just a customer.

Having travelled for an hour and a half to reach Hunts Motorcycles, and they were expecting me, I thought I would at least get a hello when I walked in. Sadly no. Ignored by three members of staff (recognised them from the website pictures) I made my own enquiries. Not a good start. Then I was looked up and down a little suspiciously, which I thought odd at the time. Hello sir, how was the trip? Did you get wet, would you like a cup of tea? You're bang on time, we've been expecting you... Don't be daft, none of that conversation took place. I was shown the demonstrator but not told that it was a slightly older/different spec. Test route consisted of roadworks and 50mph limit, but I liked the bike and headed back prepared to do a deal. It was just what I was looking for. When I got back I was challenged as to whom I had bought my bike off and was it HPI checked! It's the wrong colour I was told. "Is it? And yes it was HPI checked" was my response. They checked it anyway and then informed me that it was HPI cleared. Nice one, that's how you get a sale. So, feeling like a criminal I sat there whilst I was offered a fairly low figure for my pride and joy that had just been rubbished by the salesman to the nth degree. I was still looking to do a deal as I had a second , newer bike, that I could have traded in. But WHY ON EARTH would I trade it in here after this treatment? So, for the price of a cup of tea, good manners and some lessons in how to let someone down gently when they realise that someone has re-sprayed the panels on their bike and they don't match, YOU lost a sale, not to mention future sales as I change my bikes at least every 18 months. Avoid if you are looking for quality customer service, go there If you don't care and are happy to hand over your hard earned money and be treated like a criminal.
