Backyard thieves!

Drove 130 miles to go see a car advertised by Prestige Cars Coventry as perfect and "WOW" and all that. Was swapping my range rover so of cohrse he was interested. When i got there, the steering was knocking, there were 5 service messages and 3 warning lights, half of the driver seat trim was broken off, the boot didn't close and the bonnet was rusty and would not stay open... He said "the driver seat is broken but i didn't realize until now"... how do you but a car missing half of the seat and you don't notice? I thought the service stamps were fake, the car a non registered insurance disposal, it had been crashed... and the trick here was that he was hoping i would not want to drive so far to come back with no deal and would actually take it. Oh, all fault codes were erased 37min before i arrived, unfortunatelly for them i am an automotive engineer and brought my own diagnostics equipment that can read how long it has passed and how far it has travelled since last time the codes were cleared! Stay away from these guys, they are dodgy driveway dealers with 20 different staff so can always say "it wasn't me so i don't know"
