Avoid this place, don't be taken in

Avoid Stonewood Cars in Oadby who are in the property of Manor Cars, they are linked. Bought a car with 12m warranty and a full service having been completed. 600 miles later clutch seizes, it is old, corroded and worn out. Turns out they, Stonewood, did not get me the warranty from Warrantywise and the service garage did not service, Stonewood wrote the name of garage in service book to look like it had. I bought from them because they were nice, not pushy and gentle. I believed they were ex bankers and solicitors and men of integrity. They told me that they have all the cars checked to ensure there is nothing wrong, and sell only the best cars, that is why they charge a little more. It just is not true, they buy from auctions, change the oil and sell on. I ended up with no warranty, no full service, car in a good garage saying the clutch seized while Stonewood blame me. I ended up having to pay for it. Am having to go to County Court. Be warned, don't let them lull you into a false sense of security that they did to me. They are not so nice when there is a problem. Please double check all information on the paperwork and please have your car checked over before you but. Remember you have 6 months under the Consumer Care Act.
