Fiat 500 automatic ?

The sales man at Days Fiat was very pleasant and helpful to a degree but he fell down on relaying the information about the automatic driving system of this particular car I.e. you have to use the handbrake on hills which is unlike any of my previous automatic cars . Consequently my first driving experience in this car was at times quite frightening as I nearly had an accident and a big learning curve on how to drive a fiat 500 semi automatic. Thankfully now I am aware of the capabilities of this car but it isn’t the automatic as I thought I was buying.
