Awful experience

Couldn't fault the salesman at Lodge Holl Garage in Abingdon, polite courteous, helpful, the owner however was a different matter, never met such a rude, arrogant individual on a car forecourt in my life! Put down a £250 deposit on a BMW on the condition the paintwork was rectified, was assured by the salesman it would be returned if we weren't happy. Went to view again after paintwork was dealt with. It was awful, cheap paint, cheap lacquer, paint the wrong colour, dirt in paint, run in lacquer and could still see where original scratch was! When your buying a high spec car like a BMW, you expect a high spec job! The 'owner' refused point blank to return my deposit when I said I wasn't happy. Told him I had a receipt with all the info on, signed by a member of his staff he said he didn't care, it wasn't signed by management, there was no way I was getting my money back! He seemed to change tact when the small claims court was mentioned! He continued to be rude even after saying he would fix the problems for me, and when he was spoken to the way he was talking to us, he exploded, shouted 'thats it, you can have your money back, get off my forecourt'! An horrendous experience with this man, very upsetting and appalling customer service!
