Very poor after sales service
In February 2018 I purchased a used Jaguar X Type estate from Racecourse Cars. The car was advertised as having working air conditioning. Knowing that this item could be a problem I asked if it was fully working and was assured that it was. The car came with a 12 month RAC Silver Warranty. After 4 weeks of ownership and 800 miles it became very apparent that the air conditioning was not working and I therefore asked for it to be repaired. Rececourse Cars said they would not repair it as it was wear and tear and was not covered under the warranty. I found their whole attitude very unhelpful and basically rude. I am currently in the process of having to take them to the Small Claims Court in order to recover the costs of having the repair work done elsewhere. I could not possibly recommend anyone to buy a car from Racecourse Cars. The above is in addition to a problem with the turbo actuator which took 3 return visits to solve when only 1 was required. All in all very poor after sales service and contrary to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 of which they do not appear to have any knowledge or wish to adhere to.
