Buyer beware!
Terrible service from New Barn Cars and horrendous car! Bought a Range rover sport back in Feb 18 and wanted the car of our dreams. Shortly after purchasing a few things went wrong like the heated seats and air con. They did reluctantly fix these minor issues but not without trying to tell me that the air con didn't blow very cold on these cars as "they are all a bit like that" and dont blow very cold. Complete lie. I took it back again a short while later as we had a rumble from the front. He again said "they all make funny noises" and so i trusted him. Shortly after the rear brakes failed and i tried to return the car again to be fixed and he tried everything to get out of it but agreed to fix if i could get the car to him. I couldnt as the brakes had failed. We had to take it to local garage and pay 300 pounds to get it fixed. Warranty given didnt cover it. Garaged also noticed a diesel leak on the car and the rear bushes had been totally worn out for some time (noticed first when traction control light started coming on). None of this covered by crappy warranty. Shortly after the 3 month warranty (which we never and couldn't claim on as its not worth the paper its written on) the noise from the front which i reported to him and he fobbed me off with turned out to be the front differential along with a worn out propshaft. By this point we realized we had bought a complete nightmare of a car. The work was going to cost 1000's and we just could live with this car bought from a back st garage any longer. We traded it in this week (July18) for a new VW at a main dealer! Lesson learnt the hard way and buyer beware from this garage as if you bring up a fault after purchasing he will no doubt try to fob you off with "they are all a bit like that" and just tell you to claim on the warranty that wont cover you anyway!
