I traded my car in here and got another from them, by the time I got home I knew something was majorly wrong. I took the car to a major high street garage and when they had it on the ramp they was shocked at the condition. Was told categorically the car was so badly corroded that it had no structural integrity left and was not safe to drive, this was among many other faults. I was absolutely gutted, I then contacted madejski who only seem to like to communicate by email once something is wrong?? And told the same as all the others that have left reviews on here that it was at as trade clearance with no warranty blah blah and that I will not be receiving a refund. At this point inwasnt aware of my rights and with alot of regret thought that I had to swallow the cost of repair, I took the car to two more garages for an MOT and repair quotes and the car was condemned even worse than the first garage. I continued to write emails explaining my rights and stating that they was not allowed to do what they was doing to people with this trade clearance business ( trading standards told me this and have told this garage before so they are well aware of what they are doing) I was still refused a refund. Once the weekend came and I was of work I reluctantly drove the car back to them anyway and once I arrived he looked like he saw a ghost as he was just about to make a sale to some other poor customers. He quickly shuffled over to me and discreetly offered a refund out of earshot of his new victims. I was then told there would be a £200 admin fee to which even he half giggled and sniggered when he said it, I refused this and was then told it was a £100 admin fee. In the end I reluctantly played this, I was very very far from home and did not want to drive that death trap again on too of this I was far from home by myself and felt a little intimidated by the situation. Oh I forgot to add on the same day if buying the car when I asked for a refund apparently my trade in car which they legally need to return to me with the refund had already been sold on....Yeah right!! The car is now back on sale and apparently has passed an MOT, this is from there dodgy mate mechanic that also needs shutting down!!! How do I know it couldn't have passed? Well nothing from what I was told by the 3 garages but one of the fails was the tyres and one in particular that is so badly damaged and they could not have changed these because I have the locking nut After I handed the car back over on my way out walking down the road what did I see???? My old car!!! The one that had apparently been sold on!!! Do not go anywhere near this place!!!
