No car handbook?

Bought a second hand Peugeot from Arnold Clark Ford in Strathaven 3 months ago which had no handbook. I was told don't worry we will order it for you, should only take a week. They have been fobbing me off with excuses like - that's unusual, we will chase it up - it's the manufacturers fault - we will phone you back when we have it. My impression is they have no intention of giving it to me and are hoping that i go away. What a terrible after sales service.
