A fantastic small garage

Dear reader, do not be swayed by the couple of negative reviews you might read below. I have been looking to change my Toyota Avensis estate since we aquired another dog. Basically needed more head room in the boot. So my quest for something different began. Having done some research, I settled on a Nissan XTrail. So now to find a good one. There are a few out there but often a catch with one thing or another. Having narrowed it down to three cars I looked into whether each place would take mine in part exchange. Although you might get a little more money for your car selling it privately actually it can be a hassle so I wanted to part exchange. From the first time I spoke to Graham at JR he was clear and courteous regarding my car so I decided to make the not inconsiderable drive down to look at the Nissan that they had. On our first visit we were shown the car and given the key and left to have a look to our satisfaction. After requesting to take it out, despite the dreadful weather and the fact the car was tucked away at the back, nothing was too much trouble and we duly went for a drive. Graham and his colleague then looked at my car and made me a very fair offer to part exchange. At this point, I needed some time to think so went for a coffee to mull it all over. Although I was fairly certain that I wanted to have the Nissan, I decided to leave without making that final decision. I was not pressured or pushed at any point during the course of the two hours I spent at the garage and left promising to let them know what I wanted to do as soon as possible. Having a further 48 hours to think I rang them back to say they would like the car and secured it with a deposit. This is normal practice for those who might dispute having to part with some money before the car is checked over and serviced. Again, Graham told me clearly what they would be doing in terms of servicing and an MOT etc I drove down again on the 19th to collect the car. Beautiful day and arrived to find that the car was ready to go having been beautifully valeted inside and out and was absolutely gleaming. All paper work was sorted quickly and efficiently including tax. It was genuinely an enjoyable experience from start to finish. I was treated with respect and feel that I have gained a lovely new vehicle for a fair price. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending JR of Ashford to anybody. A wonderful find. Thank you both again
