Problem sorted straight away

My daughter recently bought a Nissan Quashqi looked clean for the year and seemed great on the test drive; she paid cash and was very pleased till after 30minutes of owning the car it broke down on the M25. Luckily I was still in the area and ended up giving a lift to one of the staff. They returned the cash straight away and refunded the £45 she paid in diesel. My point is although the sorted the cash back straight away surely they should have know there was a problem with the car are there any checks done ? We certainly won’t be going there again no chance.
