have no respect for potential customers. My wife booked a test drive for Sunday morning and told them she would bring her Drivers Licence with her. We drove 20 miles and were only 5 minutes away when we received a phone call telling us she needs to provide a National Insurance Number before she can test drive the car. We explained that we were almost there and offered other alternative proof of identity but this was declined. Is this their normal policy ?, if so why were we not told at time of booking. Do they get lots of illegals in Ipswich ? My wife and I have both driven for over 50 years, purchased over 20 cars and probably test driven around 80 in this time and have NEVER been asked for our National Insurance numbers.
