Good to your face but some devious.

Bought an Outlander September 2017 from Motor Point Oldham, it drove well enough but when I queried front tyre tread depth I was told they were legal, that was my first mistake, on day of purchase no paper MOT with car "oh it's all done on line now" second mistake. The day after purchase rear tyre nearly flat, assured me on collection there wasn't a puncture, another mistake, inflated the tyre and went to tyre fitters in Droylsden first words out of his mouth were "your front tyres are illegal" down to the canvas in two places, called MPO no answer so had two fresh tyres fitted, the front tyres were a different size to the rears which in 4 wheel drive would be disaster. To be fair to MPO they paid up for the tyres and puncture without arguing could be because they didn't want showing photographs of the tyres to Police, Trading Standards, and DVLA. When I checked online the last MOT had a raft of advisories I presume they didn't want me to see, then the hinge on the tailgate broke in two, got in touch again got more help from him both hinges replaced. The car has got corroded brake pipes ,rear disc problems, and lots of underbody corrosion. Would I buy from MPO again ? no, and for prospective buyers have the car on a ramp to look underneath, make sure you get a valid MOT to look at, hope this helps other would be buyers.
