Great at sales -don’t want to know after

Bought a beautiful fiat 500 from Express Motors Leicester in October 17. Loved the car until it developed problems - handbrake cable bracket had come off and been bodged with cable ties instead of fixed. They fixed this and then, two weeks later, brakes start playing up. Absolutely no pad on front brakes (metal against metal). Contacted them about this but had no response at all. The car came with 12 month MOT (done by them and had no advisories). According to advice it shouldn’t have passed. Car was also supposedly subject to full service before collection but there was no reference to it needing new brakes. I’ve only done about 2000 miles in the four months I’ve had it - not enough to wear brakes down to that extent. I’d be very careful buying a car from these and maybe ask for an independent MOT from a different centre. I’d also go through any service they say they’ve done with a fine tooth comb as I am not convinced a service of my car actually took place and I don’t think it should have passed its MOT. If they’re being dodgy about that they are putting peoples safety at risk.
