not sure about the positive reviews...
Went to look at a specific motor for my son's first car. all looked good beforehand, good communication and seemed ok, nice and polite. Looked over the car, bit grimy but easy to fix with a professional valet so no worries there. It wasn't until i started poking under the bonnet that the attitude changed. Found a lot of contamination within the oil filler cap which on a diesel can mean big bills ahead for head gasket etc. asked a few more questions about DMF / clutch being replaced, misting headlamps etc and was told that "you always get this in diesel cars so it's nothing to worry about...." (Both items are £500+ to replace and genuine parts like headlamps are expensive (£200+) so not cheep items) Been a diesel driver for 20+ years so as soon as i mentioned Head gasket replacement i was told "well this car isn't for you then is it..." so walked away. Please buyer beware. Do your research and track down pervious sales if you can. I may have been the exception but based on my experience I wouldn't return. NOTE: It isn't a traditional dealership, it's run from a home address so please take that into consideration as any work either 'pre-sale' or 'under warranty' could be outsourced to "a unit in Derby, near pentagon island". There's always a cost with any used motor but in this case I would find out as much as you can before you buy, better still, find an independent mechanic to inspect the car first, £100 for piece of mind is way better than a money pit sat in your garage.
