Great sales service,poor aftersales !!

Bought a fantastic vehicle in August at Usk from a lovely salesman Luke. A deposit was left, and arranged to collect vehicle three weeks later. We paid for vehicle in full three days before collection but at collection we were told, that a mistake had been made and there was only one key.A little disappointed we took the car and arranged a spare key to be programmed at a cost to ourselves. Three minor issues arose with the car (Intermittent boot ram failure , a grinding wing mirror and wind noise on a support pillar). We contacted Usk car sales, who told us to book with their approved repair garage MDP landrovers( highly recommend...Craig is fantastic) .We were unable to book a repair ,due to a break down in communication and had to cancel the one appointment we managed to make,,due to a funeral. when we spoke to luke (very nice person) ,we were transferred to the owner Nick. (mmm no comment) .After being told we were now out of free warranty, and to use our purchased extended ,I explained to Nick that these faults existed under my 90 day free warranty and he was liable for repair. After a very heated discussion ,where Nick ,repeatedly blamed the repair garage he arranged for the lovely luke to collect our car.I asked him to consider paying for the replacement spare Key (we were told all along was there, until collection) or at least as a measure of good will to meet my half way on the cost..Nick informed me he would not pay for the key ,as I should have rejected the car and he wouldn't meet me half way as a goodwill gesture as he did not feel I need goodwill as I had taken the car, arranged a replacement key and therefore he did not give goodwill .( Lovely way to conduct business) On examination with Nick, he found no intermittent fault and as a measure of 'GOODWILL' offered to fit second hand parts to my car for free. as it had a very limited warranty,I refused, and nick was very quick to tell me he studied consumer law for several years, and was allowed to fit second hand Parts, to a second hand car. (I hope that doesn't apply to brakes...)He also pointed out, that the parts were not covered as they were checked and working prior to delivery ( I understood a warranty covered things that went wrong....geeezzz) . We agreed to pay 50/50 each for new parts , and on repair ,with an approved repair garage, the intermittent problem, confirmed that the part had indeed failed. ( Thanks Nick). The long and short of this review is, we purchased a fantastic vehicle, through a lovely salesman Luke , had a professional repair carried out through a very talented garage ( Thankyou Craig of MDP landrovers...ohh and the car was squeaky clean) but received an appauling aftersales service from the owner Nick, who in my opinion, puts his profits before his Goodwill!!!!
