I saw a Toyota Celica with this dealer on a Saturday. Put a deposit down to secure it and was told I would get a phone call on Monday telling when I could collect it. I called on Monday and said I'd like 12 months MOT on it and I would pay for the MOT. They said the car would be ready on Wednesday, mistakenly I said I'd collect on Thursday and have the day off work. I received a phone call saying it would be ready at 2.30pm as it had to be valeted. It was obvious it hadn't been valeted when I arrived and was told that it had been MOT'ed the previous day but the computer had gone down so the certificate couldn't be issued and I could have it on Friday. Again mistakenly I said I would pick it up on Saturday morning at about 10. Received a phone call Friday evening saying to make it 10.30 so it could be valeted!. I had taken a photo of the V5 so on Friday evening had a look online to see if the MOT had been done. Surprisingly it had.......and it had failed on two things (two front tyres) and there were advisories on 4 other things. There was also a pass certificate. I arrived to an unvaleted car on Saturday morning and the salesman saying I've been trying to call you. which he had about 10 minutes before I was due to get there. Was fed some sob story about the valeter hadn't been in that day (I did say what about the last 7 days), I said I was tempted to just have my deposit back....which he agreed to immediately! , then I asked about the MOT and if the failures had been rectified, he said I wasn't aware it had failed, I looked at the front tyres and they hadn't been changed and pointed this out, he then called the owner who said that the tyres were an advisory item......showed him the certificates online and he looked horrified. So unreliable, with a lying owner, and issuing dodgy MOTs. (reported to the relevant authorities).
