Description - "poetic licence" maybe

Firstly the Archway Cars site is in keeping with many such "bargain basement" type of dealerships who sell cheap vehicles. Whilst I do not have any complaints in this respect I do regarding descriptions and would advise against travelling any great distance on the strength of a "glowing report" or of photographs. They stated 5 stamps in service book (only 4). No major body work issues just "age related". This 56 plate had various dents and scratches on roof, bonnet, bumpers and panels. Also they had it valeted (definite poetic licence) and had merely sprayed it with Back to Black and had jet washed the boot carpet (an estate) and put back totally wet. As all I needed was a run-around for DIY I took a "flyer" and purchased. It took me three days to dry the vehicle out. Six weeks later I have not received a V5C and have been advised by DVLA that the dealer had not advised them. As it was, after a serious tidy-up and a check with the previous owner, I am happy with the vehicle which is OK for my needs. So if you know about cars and you want cheap travel then fine but take great care if looking for anything else with particular emphasis on travelling a long distance to see or of parting with a holding deposit without sight of the vehicle. They are no worse or better than others in their market segment and would consider using them if, you know your stuff and are reasonably local. I have no clue as to after sales service so to make a prediction would be unfair.
