I bought second hand car, 4 months ago for my son to learn to drive in, which came with the RAC gold policy which does not cover general wear and tear which is fair enough on a 10 year old car. The car had been serviced and MOT'd. Unfortunately the cars service had been out sourced from Globe and the brakes not serviced, so the front brakes locked after 450 miles because the pads and discs were worn. This is not evident on this type of car when looking at the wheels on ground level. I had the brakes fixed at my own expense All my friends and husband told me the dealer wouldn't do anything. That I basically had to cover the loss and had been conned. I went into the garage and received the same warm welcome that I had all through the purchase of my vehicle. No aggression, no defensive behavior. The issue was sorted out immediately where we agreed to split the cost. Even though the garage could have argued they were not liable for this as per the original agreement. They are a family company, who respect and thrive on their reputation. I have no hesitation in recommending Globe for excellent service from start to finish and a little bit after.
