Misled big time
Having spoken to my Solicitor and trading standards, I hereby advise Westway Motors of the following, Under the consumer Rights Act dated 1st October 2015, I am rejecting the car as not fit for purpose within the 30 daytime frame and law. I require the vehicle collecting within 7 days and my money returning in full, £2000 plus the repair costs of the alternator of £387.50 I will have to cover my expenses for Road Tax, Insurance revision, collection and wasted time waiting for recovery vehicles. The vehicle is clearly not fit for purpose, nor can it be trusted for a journey to West Moors, hence collection is required. Attached is the link detailing the fault and the potential cost of repair, which is potentially thousands. http://www.volkswagenforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=25769 I have a list of other issues discovered by the mechanic, which also would need fixing over and above the G28 fault. I will forward these by post including the invoice for the alternator as I would clearly, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES purchased the car from you if you had notified me of these faults as the repairs far and exceed the forecourt retail value, which I am sure you are fully aware of. If I do not hear from you with 24 hours I will issue a claim via the County Court Money Claim Service in Salford, which will include my out of pocket expenses. As it currently stands I have only spoken to Trading Standards with regards to my rights, however should you not contact me within 24 hours I will take the matter further with them. I look forward to hearing from you. The reply was ...................................................Tough your problem mate!!
