Terrible customer service
We bought an Audi Q7 from Motors Hub in Watford after being that being told that the car was in perfect condition with new tires and that it had just been serviced by their mechanic, however the car had a really short MOT and that should have set off my alarm bells. 2 months later and just over a thousand miles the car fails the MOT badly with the front tires so worn the cord is showing in places and we have discovered the car has either been in a big crash or small multiple crashes. Wings and bonnet have been replaced, doors have been filled and the car has been resprayed badly. The front suspension is knackered and there is a serious oil leak at the rear of the engine which had been just been sealed with silicone to slow the leaking down. Our garage wouldn't let us take the car back because it was actually unsafe to drive. Whilst I understand a second hand car is not going to be perfect I have now taken the car to two separate garages for an assessment and both have said the state of the car shocking. Motors Hub of course denies ever telling us they put new tires on and denies saying that the car had been serviced by them even though my wife and I were sat in the office and both remember clearly what was said. Rather then saying something like bring the car back and we'll take a look they immediately and repeatedly pointed us down the warranty route almost knowing that the car had massive problems. When questioned further about the state of the car they responded we know nothing about cars we just sell on second hand motors. A car dealer knowing nothing about cars...hhhmmmm.. The customer service is shocking and these give second car dealers a terrible name, buy from this company at your peril, we are currently talking to trading standards about this. We were very niave to take these jokers at their word and should have got the car checked over immediately by someone in the trade after buying but to the untrained eye everything seemed ok and appeared to drive relatively ok. I feel mostly upset that my wife and baby have been driving in a completely unsafe car. Be careful and do not trust anything they say, we are now left with a car we can't drive and need to buy a new one whilst we go down the legal route.
