Unhelpful and lazy!
Went to Stoneacre Peterbough at the weekend, went into showroom, it took 15 minutes for a salesman to come over to me. All the salespersons were in a room at back eating, this at 2.00 p.m on a Sunday. The sales man would not give a price for the car that was interested in, he asaid he wanted commitment that I would buy, before he would come up with the price. Asked him about a club discount scheme that I am in and he didnt know and was not interested in finding out if it was avalible or not. He kept saying that working out a deal was hard work and time consuming, he went off twice to the back room and when he did return with a figure he had added extras such as extended warranty and life time shine protection at over a £1000. In the end he said it was best to get a price from another dealership and then contact him, so that he could try and beat it. Surely his job is to work out his best price with all discounts, not to try and pressure sell extras, this should be done after aggreing a sale., he did not want to work for my business, this is Stoneacres loss, as I have gone to another dealer, which approached me in the correct way and am now in the process of buying the car I wanted. This is from a family run dealership, not one of the greedy nationals such as Stoneacre.
