A lot of hassle

We purchased a car from Cars of Burlesdon which unfortunately turned out not to be fit for purpose. I would like to say that Tom the owner was reasonable in helping towards the cost of the repairs however jimmy was rude inconsiderate and lacks any customer service skills. Basicly 12 hours after purchasing the car the power steering failed which they did repair and I collected the car a few days later. However following this I had another full safety check completed on the car and found out that the car was being filled with toxic fumes which in the mechanics opinion could have caused us serious harm there were also several other failures and some including the handbrake and damages that should have caused the car to fail its mot dispite the fact the car was sold with a clean mot. I would say that the dealer needs to review who is conducting the mots for them as it is clear the mechanic failed to spot these problems. Following some very unpleasant concerstations with jimmy I spoke to Tom ( owner ) who I have to say was much better and resolved the problems quickly and in a courteous manner paying towards the cost of the repairs needed, all in all this may have just been a genuine oversight but I would urge people to buy with caution and if there are any issues talk to Tom and not Jimmy, I am glad we found a resolution but this whole ordeal has now cost me half a week of work to sort out and so not ideal.
