After sales? To be desired.

I bought a brand new car from Motor Depot last year. I had a problem at the time as the log book for the car had got lost. It took them 3 weeks to sort it out. I paid cash for the the car at the time and I don't think it went down very well. The manager gave me a set of mats as a good will gesture. When I've bought a new car from other dealerships they have always phoned and informed me about the first service. The young man that sold me the car was a nice, polite and helpful lad. I never had a call telling me the first service was due with Motor depot though. Perhaps when you pay cash your expected to disappear over the horizon and forgotten?
