Double check everything
Viewed an Audi TT begin of 05/04/2017 (Wednesday), advert said private plate coming off. Paul (owner) said expecting V5 to be back by Saturday the 8th April and he would then put original plate back on, so I said I would have it and left a deposit. Fast forward 5 weeks and still not sorted, in mean time Paul saying I could still take car on the private registration plate ! I decided to walk away from the deal and asked for my deposit back and guess what no response from Paul. He comes across as a nice guy but at the end of the day just after your money so don't be fooled. Also original advert said 2/3 owners when it turned out there were 6, Also stated service history on the car when it turns out there is no evidence of a service being carried out in the last 9 years (last service 2008). He states 3 month warranty in his advert when it turns out he will only cover up to a certain limited amount. Inaccuracies in the advert I was prepared to overlook, but if you are buying a car from him please go through everything with a fine toothcomb before committing. In my opinion this car should have never been put on sale until the private plate was off the car and the original plate back on with the V5 to prove. You learn from experience.
