Terrible Experience

I have a Mini Cooper, I always have it serviced or repaired at a Mini dealership. A warning light came on my dashboard (engine overheating light) so first thing I thought was to take it to Mini to get checked out. It took 2 days for ME to chase them up wanting to know what was wrong with my car as nobody had got back to me or given me an update. So Ocean Mini Plymouth came back to me and diagnosed the car to have the head gasket blown and quoted me £2100. I am in the Royal Navy and just coming back from a 4 month deployment away from my family and friends, all I wanted to do was go home and see them, but was unable to do this. I then got the train home (I live in Sheffield) costing me £210 needing time to think what I was going to do about my car, whether to sell it or repair it. Ocean Mini even tried to sell me a new car! After sleeping on this I decided to get it fixed and got quotes from other car garages in the Plymouth area and it was coming out roughly around £1000. So then I took it to Quick Fit and within less than 24 hours they got back to me saying the head gasket HASNT BLOWN, it was just a faulty engine temperature sensor and a few seals had gone, only costing me £195! Since having my car repaired I have done over 700 miles and its been 4 weeks since Ocean Mini diagnosed it to have the head gasket gone and there still no warning lights on the dashboard, THE CAR IS RUNNING FINE. When I collected the car from Ocean Mini in Plymouth they had the cheek to charge me £100 for what work exactly? All they have done is cost me time, money and stress. The guys at Ocean Mini either can't do there job correctly or tried to rip me off.
