THROWING TOYS OUT THE PRAM!

At first the salesman at AKC of Hertfordshire was a really lovely chat it seemed I went and looked at the M3 and it was beautiful I asked him to start it up which he did it rained quite nicely I then asked him if I could take it for a test drive and he said of course he got the keys and as I was standing by the driver's side door he got in and said jump in and he proceeded to take me for a drive which I should have said something but I I'm a trusting Guy and thought I will be able to hear if anything is wrong but forgot that really you need to drive the car so you can feel a lot through the pedals and steering wheel etc so as he drove it to the petrol station it seemed ok I noticed the gear knob was really worn I said that's a bit iffy he said it's just rings and showed me his hand which had rings on it so I thought ok then he drove back we went through the finance and that was it I came back the next day all was done then I drove it for the first time as soon as I started driving it I noticed it was really rough rattling through gear change and Exhaust sounded very rough... there was a whooshing sound coming from one of the wheels and it got louder and louder the more I went over 20 miles per hour I called him when I got home and Adam was not available only his assistant who was helpful enough and told me to bring the car back which it turned out to be the heat shield was bent and stuck into the wheel as it was turning which they pushed a hammer through and poked it back..(professional right ) as soon as I got home and when you're out of the excitement of buying the car of your dreams you can start to look closer... the oil light came up one day the next was the engine management light ..although that did go off by itself, it's still went on none the less I took pictures of both the oil light on and the engine management light being on as proof ...so I took it to BMW and paid for a full diagnostic check to be carried out to which they came back saying the rear left tyre is too small to be on that car and is in fact from an Audi. They also reported the back box had been cut open and had all of the insides pulled out then a plate welded over, this was what that rough noise was ... the seatbelt handovers were broken on both sides ...the buttons on the radio were broken so I could not press them and the gear stick basically fell apart exposing the electrical components inside... BMW also came back with the report saying oil leak bank one though they said this could be spillage from topping up but we still need to keep an eye on it... 2 days later is when the oil light came on.... (if this so far wouldn't make you have 2nd thoughts and want to return the car then you've got more money than sense with a car that costs a little over £700 just to service :-/ ) BMW also brought to my attention overspray above the driver's side door that has spilt onto the rubber and they found a receipt for body work that had been repaired and sprayed. When I mentioned this to Adam he raised his hands up as wide as his little Arms could go and put his face an inch from my face saying "and what and what , car still drives fine don't it ! I didn't know!!"... I had to say no less than eight times to calm down as this wasn't even my main complaint I was merely bringing it to his attention... Plus my 9 year old daughter was sitting no more than three feet away who started crying when we left the building.. I literally could not believe the change in this little chap who only the day before told me over the phone yes no problem bring the car back I will give you your money back... well that's me being nice he actually said after I told him all of my concerns... verbatim.. this has gone far enough !!!don't insult my intelligence!!! bring the car back monday I'll give you your money back!" I called the finance company and the consumer rights people for advice and they told me due to the mis-selling of the vehicle and only having the vehicle for two weeks I can reject the car and get my money back,... so as soon as I got out the car he said to me first off you'll not be getting all your money back.. do you know why? you're paying for the rental of that BMW M3 for the time you've had it... I said I no my rights? He said I was going to make you pay a grand but think yourself lucky I'm only taking £500 from your deposit.. let's do a deal ..let's sit down man to man... he said I've been putting up with you for two weeks sending your emails!! one was at 12 o'clock at night !!! to which I said it doesn't wake you up receiving an email Adam lol .. Unless you sleep with your laptop on your pillow or you forgot to put phone on silent at night ....it just took me that long to write out the list of things that were not disclosed to me at sale of car and I also said I only sent you three emails to which he said I don't care( nearly everything i've written that he said was pretty much shouted by him ...not spoken) in the three and a half years I trained and competed as a semi-professional mixed martial artist it was single handedly the most difficult situation I've had to be in to keep my cool... I've never lost my temper with anyone and don't intend to do so neither but this chap knew he had me bent over a barrel while I had my daughter there and while he had my money and the finance companies money I could not do anything except let him steal £500 of my deposit and he actually got me to sign for it as well. As a last ditch effort to try and get him to think otherwise and calm down I said I would put this on Facebook and let people know about this and he just rared up even more than before shouting I don't care I don't care do it mate I don't care!!! I actually wasn't going to write this but what changed was reading what he put about the last guys comment saying he was lying... what an absolute cretin not even excepting the slightest bit of criticism such as what the last chap wrote? All he said was his attitude changed?....this chap will offer you the world in the heat of the sale but God help you if you're not happy with faults that arrive straight after and wish to return it undamaged ... no bear in mind my first impressions of this guy was he was really really nice so I could get on with him I even said this to my missus but this would have stayed that way had I not had any problems with the vehicle as a lots of these other reviews state they are very happy as they obviously got a good car which is fair enough and good on them, but if you had my luck then you've lucked out big time! Because out of his tiny1 little office (which absolutely reeks of smelly dog )(probably due to being backed onto the dog kennel given its place at the bottom of the garden ).
