A very nice car buying experience

I recently bought a 2008 Fiesta Ghia from Shirley Motor Company. The advert was very understated,, just stating that it was a good low mileage example. The exact mileage of the car was advertised as 19, 454 (which was what it was). This is unusual, because most small dealers round the mileage off to the lowest thousand mile figure. Dave Rueben, the proprietor is not a pushy cheesy 'best mate' type salesman, but he is friendly and not overbearing. He is very honest and very helpful in doing most of the tax procedure for the new car, and the transfer of old vehicle paperwork - which is normally left to the buyer. The Fiesta I bought was an absolute gem. It was valeted to a very high standard and was totally fault free; my mechanic confirmed that when he serviced it. I believe that the majority of car dealers are honest, but unfortunately they get tarred with the same brush as the rogue dealers exposed on Watchdog; Dave at Shirley motor Company certainly raises the bar, and I would not hesitate to return whenever I need a new car.
