Unprofessional and rude

My husband and I booked a test drive at Automatic Cars in Bexleyheath of a Nissan Qashqai for this morning (25/03/2017) and when we arrived and spoke to Ray he advised that no one had told him. After confirming who we had spoken to he abruptly told us that the relevant manager had left. We mentioned that there were a couple of Qashqais that we were interested in (the one at Belxleyheath being our preference, hence the test drive) but he told us to go and look at the one in Welling. There was no apology for the car not being ready for the drive as booked. He also mentioned that our "process had been on going for some time" so clearly he wasn't interested in taking the time. This comment was on the back of my husband visiting the Bexleyheath lot once before and Welling a couple of times to look at (not even test drive) a couple of vehicles. I work long hours and today was only the second time we have been able to go 'car shopping' together and it would have been the first time to test drive a vehicle. I told him I considered his comments to be rude and he said he was having a bad day and reiterated a manager had left him, still no apology. Everyone has bad days but it should never be taken out on your customers hence my review of 1 star for being unprofessional. If he treats his staff in the same way then I am not surprised a manager left him! On the back of that we decided to go to a main dealer in Lakeside and we bought a car today. Whilst we may have paid a little extra we definitely consider the level of service and peace of mind to be worth it. It was an enjoyable experience and we are excited to pick up up our car, a very difference experience than that this morning at this dealership and we would certainly not recommend them to our friends and family, in fact quite the opposite.
