Do not buy a car from BJB Motor Company

My step daughter bought her very first car from these guys at first everything went well however after having the insurance company come to fit the black box for her they found numerous issues around modifications to the car. We asked at the time of purchase where their any modifications and we were told no. There was a banging to the car before we bought it and Billy said their mechanic looked at it, they sold it too is having said the car was sound and the banging came from inside the door shelf it now transpires it was the exhaust centre box so it was clearly never tested by their mechanic. Making things worse the leads to the front lights were cut and incredibly dangerous and the guys didn't spot that or inform us either. All this could have been easily sorted but even more disheartening is all we asked the guys to do is write a very simple letter to us on their letterhead saying the exhaust was replaced and was not a modification. After three phone calls of them telling us they had done it .... Not a surprise they hadn't done it at all Something so minor as writing a letter so a 17 year old girl could get her insurance sorted out has resulted in us having to tell the world of the problems we had with this company. As a small start up company guys you really have to try and keep your customers happy and lying to them isn't a great start and in a world where businesses live or fail buy social media you haven't done yourselves any favours. Trading Standards, HMRC and Auto Trader have all now been informed of this business and malpractice.
