Very unsatisfactory service
My Range Rover went into Rogers of Bedford for the air conditioning condenser to be replaced through the warranty from the garage I bought the car from. On picking the car up I noticed that my front offside light bracket was broken. This had to be removed by the mechanic to fix the air conditioning but on fixing it he broke the light bracket. They also did not put back on the dust cap for the air conditioning filler pipe. This has been over 2 months now and they originally ignored my emails, then on phone conversations a new light was promised to be posted to me. I am still waiting and have now found out that my air conditioning is still not working. I have complained to the Motor Ombudsman, although he does not think that Rogers of Bedford are an accredited business and may not be able to help. I have contacted the Consumer Helpline and they have advised me to tell Rogers of Bedford that I am taking the car to a new garage to have the work done again and to invoice them. Rogers of Bedford want to take the car in but we live over 70 miles away, why should I go all that way again! Also, as I have lost all trust and faith in this garage and don't think they will use reasonable care and skill with my car. They did not even tell me that they had broken the light fitting but on reporting it to them they said the mechanic must have forgotten to tell his manager! They originally told me they would keep the car in for a couple of days so they could check the new air conditioning was working correctly and no leaks found, but on the day of delivering the car to them, they had the work done within 3-4 hours (a rush job?) I would not use this garage again. Also, I did take my car in to them once as it had a small power failure, they could not find anything wrong and it still has a power failure.
