Poor customer relations
My daughters 18 month Ford Fiesta had an oil leak and therefore thinking this would be covered under warranty the car was booked into Ford at Warrington. Upon collection we were told that they would be a charge of £51.00 for half an hours labour because the oil filter was loose - a 2 minute job. When I enquired why we were not advised of this charge in advance as we had made it clear we thought this to be a warranty matter we were advised that my 19 year old daughter was told when she dropped the car off that if Ford could not claim the costs back there would be a charge - how is my daughter to know what they can claim and what they cannot. When complaining to the service manager I was told that basically that was the charge for 2 minutes work - the car was not even washed and vacuumed which could have been done in the remaining 28 minutes and is something other dealerships do as standard - a really poor experience to say the least and one I will be sharing with family, friends and work colleagues.
