Keep away from the service department
Before buying the car, the Sales Team as usual promised great customer service and the usual garbage that the customer will be looked after. I have found the Service Department to be extremely incompetent and severely lacking in their knowledge of customer care. For the first time in my life, the courtesy car although I put fuel in, ran out of fuel in the outside lane of the motorway. The prat (actual name) told me that why should he pay for my fuel and I told him in the manner he deserved that I had put more fuel than I had used. They couldn't care less. Recently, I found out that my Breakdown cover wasn't activated, although the car was serviced in November. When I rang to find out the reason, the Muppet told me to ring Volvo and sort it out myself as it had nothing to do with them. When I told him that it was their cock up, they should sort it out, he insisted that I should do it myself. Realising that the Muppet couldn't understand that it was his job or he was just lazy and incompetent, I chose to do it myself. Asked him for the Head Office number, he gave me the wrong number and when I spoke with someone else to get the correct number, she couldn't understand where he got the number from. The car itself is great but the customer service you receive is equivalent to the type you see on Watchdog. Final advice, KEEP AWAY FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
