New V
New Van
I purchased a new van for £40,000. The van is great. However, although it had been washed, the inside of the windows were filthy, it took a good 3 attempts to get them clean and the first cloth i had to trow because it was black with dirt. I had new floor mats put in but underneath them were dirty foot marks because they hadn't cleaned the inside before handing it over, although from new it was reasonably clean anyway. There were marks on the external paint from the foam mounted to the vehicle when delivered. When you spend £40,000 on a new van you want to pick it up and it be perfect. The customer service in the Service department is minimal, there is no loan vehicle when yours is in for a warranty service. After phoning to book it in there is no confirmation the day before and no follow up call to see if everything is ok. The vehicle is left with the seat protectors on. When dropping the vehicle off and picking up there is no customer treatment. They take your keys in the morning and pass them back in the evening with little feedback on what was done. My wife has a Kia and we use the Chesterfield garage, you are treated like a VIP all the time there, you car is cleaned inside and out, and you get a pre and post check up on any appointments. Maybe I have been spoilt by the Kia service but unless I have to in order to get the vehicle i want i will avoid Mertrux Derby in future.
