Having previously purchased a car from charlton motors and really happy with the service and car decided to go back. We found a freelander 2 that fitted with what we looking for and apart from the part exchange price for our car the deal would have been done there and then. We subsequently left the dealership and before we got home had a call from them to offer more money for our part exchange at this point we asked about finance and he promised to look at the figures and call us back with a monthly repayment amount. Approx 3 hours later we received a call to advise us they had sold the car! When I expressed my disappointment I was told that they were there to sell cars! Sorry charlton motor company I understand this but surely you have some loyalty to existing customers and at least offer first refusal to the original enquiry oh well clearly not! Next time I will give my loyalty to another dealer.
