The worst garage ever
My yamaha bike broke down on 21/03/25 the AA got it started by touching some wiring as not sure at what he touched and got it started to get me home we left it to at that. The next day the same happen would not start outside my home. After calling a number of garages to get booked in the earliest place I got was Wigan motorcycles and booked in on the 17/04/25 . I had to arrange for the AA the collect my bike and take it to wigan. On the 15/04/25 i confirmed with the AA and Wigan motorcycles that everything was in place for my bike to go on the 16/04/25 ready for the 17th into the garage this all went smoothly. And that's where the smoothness ended. I called Wigan motorcycles on evening of 17th to see progress but they had closed,I called again the following day in hope as it was good Friday sure enough they were open but workshop closed and had no info and I whould now have to wait until Tues 22/04. I made the call and got to speak to the service department who to my surprise told me he never knew why my bike was there as it was not in the "diary" I could not understand this as I explained that I was told on 16/04 all was good they knew what it was coming in for and a job card had been issued for my bike,I also asked if they didn't know why my bike was there when it arrived on the 16/04 why had nobody contacted me. This went on for a number of weeks with me having to call Wigan motorcycles constantly as I was not getting any calls or updates on when my bike would be fixed just constant I am short staffed the new staff are incompetent etc excuse after excuse. I had 3rd party warranty and had to ask them to make contact to ensure they followed the instructions requested by them as I lost confidence this was now the 23/05/25 due to the stress and anxiety I was at at this point I chose to not contact them again an aloud 2 weeks to pass . So on the 30/05 I decided to travel on public transport to wigan and face to face meet. Even after this time they still could not give me satisfaction except for the part the thought was faulty wasn't so still trying to find fault.again I got the staffing issues excuse again and I insisted on a fixed day they would get my bike back in to the workshop and a definite day to receive a call with updates ,I was given 03/06 . I finally got a call saying the had fixed my bike and the fault was what they first thought and I can pick it up. I got to get to wigan again the following Friday 06/06 to pick bike up to my surprise the bike still would not start, so I said to them to take it back in why I wait after approx 30 mins the came back the bike started when asking what was the issue i was informed the "kill switch was loose". I got on my bike and got out of there.. After all those weeks and me calling them insisting that the issue must be simple as the AA had got it started by just touching wires on the original breakdown...but they replaced the starter relay charged me £303.00 then the bike never started until the fixed the kill switch. This is a long review but please read it if you do not want to be bikeless for almost 10 weeks. STAY AWAY FROM WIGAN MOTORCYCLES. Date of experience: 06 June 2025
