Pitiful service department

Took my A4 avant to an independent garage for an MOT which it failed on a nearside rear shock absorber leak. Not to worry I thought it still has 1 months manufacturers warranty left so I took it to Doncaster Audi for what I thought would be a straight forward replacement at no cost but then the games began ! Having inspected the car they said that the shock absorber was within manufacturer’s specifications even though it was leaking and should not have failed an MOT and offered to re test which it would then pass as the shock absorber was fine. This they did but passed it with an advisory for a fluid leak from the very same shock absorber 😱 so I challenged the advisor in question and asked why my car passed the MOT if the shock absorber leaks when the shock absorber on the drivers side does not leak, well he said maybe it’s been driven up kerbs on that side. Despite my irate complaints about how can the shock absorber leak without being faulty therefore not warranting a replacement whist still under manufacturers warranty is a mystery so it’s no more Doncaster Audi, in fact no more Audi for me !! I have now had a new shock absorber fitted at my own expense at an independent garage.
