If I Could Give Zero, I Would. Avoid Th
IThis has been the worst car-buying experience of my life. I’ve never encountered a dealership so dishonest, unprofessional, and manipulative. I bought a Skoda from them after a one-minute test drive, pressured by a £500 non-refundable deposit. Once I got it home (140 miles away), The retractable parcel shelf was broken and the car had very poor pickup amongst numerous other things. I contacted the dealer immediately. Their response? I could return the car if I paid them a £2,000 restocking fee. Eventually, they agreed to reduce that to £1,000 if I bought another car—an Audi, which I paid for in full, including delivery. But on the day of delivery, they insisted on me signing the paper work when I had not even taken the car for a test drive as I hadn't paid the road tax yet. They kept insisting that I should sign the paperwork first. When I read the paperwork, I saw hidden terms specifically: – 10% return/admin fee, – £1.99 + VAT per mile (even including their delivery mileage), (£335) – £199 for valeting and inspection. Instead of addressing these issues, they ordered their driver to take the Audi back. Even worse, their driver—sneakily—left with BOTH sets of keys, not just for the Audi but also for the Skoda. I had to literally run down the road to stop him from driving off with keys to the car I legally owned. And the condition of the Skoda? It may have looked clean at first glance, but it stank of some overpowering chemical—presumably what they used to “valet” it. It wasn't a proper professional job: there were smudge marks all over the internal screens, and six weeks later the chemical smell still lingers. We’ve had to pay for a full professional valet just to try and get the stench out, and even now, it still hasn't fully gone. Every time anyone goes in the car, they clothes stink of this chemical. It gives a headache for few hours. So I get a headache before I get to work, everyday. To top it all off: – I had to chase the parcel shelf several time. – They now claim the Audi sale “was never completed” even though they took full payment. – They refuse to refund any of the insurance cost we incurred in good faith. – There's a mileage discrepancy on the Skoda, and they’ve provided no service history. – Despite them promising a "Full service before delivery", within two weeks of driving the Skoda, the oil warning light came on, proving they hadn’t even done the most basic checks before selling it. I am now not even sure that they actually service the car. Every time I put my foot on the brake squealing from the brakes is heard. They are friendly and helpful until they get your money—then it’s a wall of excuses, gaslighting, and total lack of responsibility. This dealership is not trustworthy, not professional, and should not be in business.
