I was ready to pick up the car right away but the seller asked me to wait two days for Arnold Clark to make sure that the car was in good condition knowing that I would be using the vehicle as a private hire. After two days I drove to pick the car and during the initial inspection it turned out that there were several defects - squeaky brakes, strange noises in the suspension. The seller assured me that the 60 day warranty would cover the repair. I decided to take the car. After two days all the faults of the car started to come out. After contacting the Manchester branch they asked me to go to Arnold Clark in York for an inspection. Of course all the defects were confirmed ( 5 ) and I was told that the car can only be repaired by Tesla service. Brakes, suspension, alignment etc. I was also told that if no one contacts me in the next 24 hours, I have permission to book Tesla service in my application. After waiting 24 hours, I called the Arnold Clark warranty team and they confirmed that I can book service and the cost of repair will be covered by them. I booked Tesla Newcastle, who got permission from Arnold Clark to re-spec the car. It turned out that the car has many more faults than at the beginning. This morning I received a message from Tesla that Arnold Clark does not agree to repair the car. From the day of buying the car I lost 5 days driving around garages, now the car has been blocked in Tesla and I have been cut off from earnings (£300 per day). I filed a complaint with Black Horse, today the complaint will be filed with trading standards and financial ombudsman. For two days I have been trying to contact the General Manager in the Manchester branch. My emails are ignored as well as phone calls that someone will contact me. I know that I will have a long battle ahead of me to recover the losses I have already suffered, all licenses, equipment, insurance in connection with registering the car as PH.
