Don’t buy used
Don’t buy a used car from them. Spent almost £14,000 on a used car and noticed acceleration problems on the way home and over the next three weeks. Contacted the manager who suggested I bring the car back in and he would arrange a courtesy car, contacting me in the next few days with details. I had to chase him But I did get a courtesy car and they took my car in for a week. Within that week I had to phone the manager to get updates on my car, and was told that the Mechanic felt it was de-accelerating at times and therefore the car was going to go to Hyundai to be looked at. Hyundai checked the computer And because no codes were showing it was sent back as nothing wrong with it. Invicta then retracted what their mechanic had said. When I went to collect it once again, the manager was in yet another meeting ( always in meetings) so I couldn’t speak to him but I did tell his colleague that I wasn’t happy because the car wasn’t running right but the answer was as far as they were concerned there was nothing wrong with it and I couldn’t have my money back even though it was within the first 30 days, they would only give me part X price. I had no choice but to take the car back, but the car needless to say is still de-accelerating. . Just because a car is not showing a code it doesn’t mean there isn’t a fault. I now have to either continue to claim with the ombudsman or sell the car on at a Part ex value meaning I will lose about £3000. I have no issues with the sales person Alex, he was brilliant, but their after-care and promises are just hot air. Steer well clear unless you are buying your car new with a warranty
