AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Avoid the Roxburghe Group at ALL costs. This was hands down one of the worst and most infuriating car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. I was in constant contact with them over phone and email, and left a £500 deposit for a car that was supposed to undergo an MOT, a full valet, a machine polish to remove visible scratches, and a repair on the rear alloy. Adam—your classic smooth-talking, cliché salesman—promised all of this would be taken care of. After a grueling 4-hour drive, I arrived to find a car in shockingly poor condition—nothing like what had been shown in the video. The scratches were untouched, the alloy still damaged, and clearly none of the promised work had been done. Adam immediately started backpedaling, denying every commitment he made over email, acting like I had imagined it all. Suddenly, none of it had ever been "agreed" on. Convenient. It was obvious they work on commission and rely on high-pressure tactics—because when I refused to go ahead with the purchase, I had to demand my deposit back, which was returned begrudgingly with attitude. As I was leaving, I heard Adam talking to his colleague complaining about me which is very unprofessional, as well as rude. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this shady operation. I wouldn’t trust them to sell a lawnmower, let alone a car.
