PLEASE READ AND AVOID CHRIS ODELL / WIND

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. GO TO A PROPER DEALER As a first time buyer of a car, the whole market seemed incredibly daunting, as I imagine most of you all feel. Fraught with horror stories and interactions with people who seem pushy or make you feel untrusting. It was a breath of fresh-air when I first spoke to Chris, he seemed genuine, honest and normal. I even told him of my experiences with people I felt like I couldn't trust. When I met him he was even more reassuring, I was instantly sold. As many of the reviews you read below, he is not pushy and he comes across normal. But PLEASE do not be deceived. I brushed aside the fact he does not do proper checks of the cars like other dealers may do. I was sold from his energy and how well he cleaned the car!! My problems started after I bought the car. Within the first few months an engine light came up, I took it to a garage to get diagnosed and it came back as an issue with the Oil Pump Solenoid. I called up Chris to tell him and his demeanour was completely different to the one when he was trying to sell the car, he was short, blunt and told me its probably just an issue with the current running through the detector. Nothing to worry about (it was jus the start). I told the garage to clear the code (mistake). Shortly after the car started to overheat on the motorway. It was now not drivable. I informed him of this and told me to get it diagnosed (which is his responsibility under the CRA). I went to a Garage and they could not diagnose the issue. I told him this and his obligation to get it fixed, which he then told me to call up a garage he uses in Twickenham and get it towed there. I booked it into this garage he told me to. The Twickenham garage could not get me in until April due to it being busy, which I informed him of. The car then came back with two issues: Oil Solenoid and Broken Waterpump, costing a total of £1256. When I told him of the issues and the cost he completely stopped replying. Not answering calls or WhatApps. He then tried to justify it that it was now past the time, even though it's due to the garage he uses who couldn't diagnose it in time!! I get that sometimes cars have issues, but his after care for his customers is terrible. The impression he sells you is completely different to how he treats you once the issues come about. He does not do any mechanical checks on the cars he sells, all he does is drive them for a bit to see if they are OK. He is a complete charlatan.
