AVOID VW BIRMINGHAM - DISGRACE TO VW
OMG...I wish I had read these reviews before I brought a car from them!! I purchased a Golf from VW Birmingham 15 days ago and now have a 2nd fault. Initially, the car was delivered to me with a warning saying I needed to reduce the oil level. I was advised by VW Birmingham to take the car to my local VW and to pay for the fault to be corrected and claim back from them. Thinking VW was a reputable company, I was happy to do this, but a week later, I still have not been reimbursed and have not even had acknowledgment of them receiving the invoice and processing the payment. I have sent emails about this and the fault I now have with the braking system, and have had no response, I have tried calling, and no one answers. I did get a response from the warranty department, who said I can put in a claim and they will assess it to see if I am covered!! Whoever owns this company should be embarrassed that people spending their hard-earned money are treated this way. VW Birmingham is a disgrace to the VW brand. I have never had issues with my local VW branch in over 20 years - perhaps Johnsons could send their staff there for some integrity and customer service training.
