Don’t bother
Seems like a nice guy but does not deliver on promises. Bought a Corsa for my daughter at University and had AC re-gassed before collecting the car only for it to fail within two weeks as the condenser was leaking. Promised at the time that any issues he would get a local garage near her to fix problems. But after numerous attempts to get hold of him he said it was not a major issue so would need to get ‘his guy’ to take a look when she was home again. After many unanswered calls and texts managed to get him to look to agree to resolve. Never resolved as he had a family illness to deal with (I’m not unsympathetic but he is a business after all so needs to help resolve customer issues). Even after a verbal promise to sort the AC outside of the warranty period he still has not responded. It is now 6 months since buying the car and I have spent £750 on a new alternater, battery and ECU valve. The engine management light has just come on and the car needs the head gasket replacing, the timing chain replacing and the front disks and pads changing. I have therefore had to sell the car for a paltry fee and I am out of pocket by £4k The moral of the story is don’t buy from a guy selling cars from his house and don’t get fooled by promises that will never be fulfilled!
