Liars, thieves and no due diligence
Go to an independent care sales business. Absolutely awful service. They are thieves and compulsive liars. AVOID!!! 1. The day that I bought my used Nissan, from Trust Ford, they had the incorrect V5. This shows me that they pay no attention to what they are buying. Due to this, they asked me if I could purchase a new V5 from the post office and they would reimburse me, as if they purchased it, it would be really complicated and long winded to claim on expenses. So I obliged, doing them a favour... 2 months later and constant chasing, and I still haven't got my refund. 2. Two days after taking my car home, and the first time I drove my car, the engine light came on. As it was under warranty, they told me to bring it in and they completed a diagnostic test on it and found multiple electrical errors and a broken coolant valve. Showing me that they didn't even check the car they bought. They said they couldn't fix it and told me that I would need to take it to a Nissan specialist and that they would pay for repairs. So I did (so far costing me 2 days off of work and petrol money) 3. Ford assured me that the car was still safe to drive in the interim. 3. Nissan found the issues and said they could repair it in a couple days but they would have to keep hold of the car as it is NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, on the contrary to was Trust Ford assured me of. As the incorrect battery was installed, causing multiple electrical errors, including a failing parking break, and a faulty coolant valve that could cause the care to over heat creating further damage and maybe worse... 4. Nissan informed me that Trust Ford would need to pay before they ordered the parts. I phoned Ford and they informed me it would need to be approved by "Ford Protect". I asked how long it takes for approval and they said "anything from 20 minutes to 2 hours". A day later, still no approval, 2 days later, still no approval... This went on for about 2 weeks... 5. Ford finally got the approval but Ford informed me that I couldn't collect the car until Ford had paid. I waited a further week, and still, Ford had not paid. I then phoned Nissan and they informed me that I could collect the car and don't have to wait for Ford to pay. 6. As I didn't have it for 3 weeks, and the 1 week I did have it, it was unsafe to drive; I asked for some form of compensation. No money, but just an extended warranty. No replies until I escalated to the complaints department/customer care team... The complaints department simply forwarded the complaint on to Dagenham Motors Trust Ford manager. No reply. I sent a follow up email to the complaints department, again, they forwarded the complaint to the GM. No reply. Then I sent a 3rd email to the complaints department and finally received and email from the assistant manager who basically said, you have your car back now, and thats it. All I asked for, as compensation was an extended warranty, as if the trust in the cars they buy and sell, it shouldn't cost them anything. But they declind and offered no level of compensation at all. Conclusion; Trust Ford bought a car without the correct V5, did they even own the car and have the right to sell it? Ford, clearly didn't complete any health and safety checks when purchasing the car and sold it to an unsuspecting customer. Ford stole the money I loaned them for the V5 replacement. Ford constantly ignored all of my calls and emails and when they did speak with me, they lied. I believe they purposely delayed the repair of my car to surpass the 30 day return policy, as I said I would like to return the car.
