What they don't tell you is they have nowhere near the capacity to fix the cars they sell and the repair side of marshalls is absolutely abysmal. You will be waiting months before your car can be repaired that's is they've done the job properly. I can't stress enough to keep that in mind when thinking of buying from here as my ordeal isn't over yet and it started for me last August 2024. This is my second car with seat marshall since August of 2024, The original Seat leon spent around 8 weeks in their garage before they decided that they were going to buy it back from me.... At a loss to myself. Yes the car came faulty when I brought it and they had it much longer than I did but as you will see this is the after sales the customer care is non existent. Stupidly, I threw more money at it and upgraded version of the Leon and went with a Cupra...... Which also came with issues from purchase almost as if these cars are not checked or inspected when they receive these cars. The Cupra Leon then spent the next 50days in at the marshalls garage all the time being payed for by me. Partly concerning part is that they have left the battery completely flat over this time, which is specifically warned about by the manufacturer as it will case damage to the battery, just another thing after sales don't particularly care about. The first three weeks out of the 7 they did absolutely nothing with the car, it didn't even move, not even for a test drive or even a diagnosis. It was only from week four they've started doing something with the car, as the car is connected to the app on my phone I know exactly when it's moved. Of course being a car I've literally just brought from them I called weekly for an update, of which no one is ever free to talk to you and you'll never get a call back. I did email the head of business for help with this and to say he couldn't careless is a bit of an understatement. but then I'm not surprised as fully knowing the current business strategy of selling heaps cars but having nowhere to fix them is a terrible customers.... Unless you're willing to travel to Cambridge. Again they did offer to buy the car back but after what happened with the first car I brought in August, theres absolutely no way I'm doing that again, To lose £500 on a car that was faulty at purchase is ridiculous. At week7, 50days after dropping the car off I get a phone call to pick the car up, I fully well knew it wasn't going to fixed as they didn't actually focus on the issues. Originally I did say to them it's something Todo with the drive of the car i.e gearbox, clutch, flywheel, drive shaft ect, As I've previously owned a Seat Leon that developed the same issues. I took the car to a independent tyre fitters to be balanced as this is what typically causes shaking. The company did say "just to let you know there's a very slight buckle but you won't feel this". Informing Seat Marshalls of this that's all the focused on, telling me they will refurbish 3 wheels (As a side note the truth of this is they only refurbished 1 as all the tyre pressures where all the exact same when I drop it off except one, so the do think your stupid) When driving home the "fixed" car shows its faults shaking whilst at high speed and when breaking from high speed. I call the garage to inform them that after 50days in the garage the issue still remains, The person I spoke to was the guy who sold me the car who was at total disbelief that the car was given back with issues still present and would inform his manager and the service manager first thing. Typical to marshalls after sales I never received any call or email to discuss the issues. Extremely frustrated I wrote a formal complaint letter to the head of business. This didn't go down well with him at all as he knew I was about to escalate this. I was threatened with legal action if I was to continue the complaint and compensation for the 9weeks I've spent chasing them. I had no option but to take the complaint to the finance company and ombudsman. As im currently 9weeks in and my car that was faulty from day of purchase is still faulty. With no signs of having it fixed anytime soon. I think the worst part of all this, i have the car for the next 4 years, I've paid for extended warranty and will have to deal with marshalls and all this stress if something goes wrong with the car. Let this be a warning when by a car from marshalls as if you are unlucky enough to buy a lemon from this company, you're literally going to be pulling your hair out trying to get it to the condition you thought the car was supposed to be in at point of sale.
