Horrific Customer Service
I bought a used Kia Sportage in October 2024, advertised as having Apple CarPlay. After a software update failed to activate it, we contacted Evans Halshaw, where a staff member confirmed the ad included Apple CarPlay. However, the manager, Cameron, later denied this, despite my husband having a screenshot as proof. One issue (the stop-start button) remained unresolved for months. After repeated calls, ignored emails, and an in-store visit, a helpful staff member, Nikita, arranged for a Kia dealership to fix it, with a promise of reimbursement. I paid nearly £400 out of pocket and had to chase Cameron for five weeks to get my money back—only after filing a formal complaint. Six months later, I was told Apple CarPlay could be installed. I booked in, only to be told at the end of the day that my car wouldn’t support it. Cameron finally responded—not to help, but to threaten legal action if I claimed false advertising. He also claimed to have a recording of me making a demand I never said but has ignored all my requests for proof. After six months of stress and being ignored, I will never use Evans Halshaw again and will warn others to avoid them. Only one staff member was helpful—thank you, Nikita. The manager should be ashamed of his dishonesty and poor service. Avoid this company.
