Time and money waster!

Complete time waster! I put a deposit down on a van 4 weeks ago and still don’t have it. Eric came across as a really trustworthy sales man, but has turned out to be the worst I have dealt with. Our last conversation ended up with him shouting and swearing down the phone at me. When I viewed the van, Eric told me that it just needed a new EGR valve and would be ready in approx. 1 week. I had to hire a van for work, whilst I was waiting for the new one, which I have had to keep extending due to apparent further issues with the van; This has cost me a lot of money! Communication has been awful and I only got answers when I chased for them (I was ignored by Eric on multiple occasions). I tried to contact him a few times last week and my calls were not answered. My partner called him, pretending to enquire about a car, and he answered her call straight away…funny that! I have spoken to the garage that was working on the van and their list of repairs was shorter than the list Eric advised. I believe he has spent more on the van than he wanted to and no longer wants to sell to me at the price agreed; Therefore has been trying to put me off, so that I ask to cancel the purchase. Eric told me, 5 days ago, that he would be refunding my deposit (and then hung up on me), but has made no attempts to do so. This man, in my opinion, is an unpleasant con man. I would warn you all not to get sucked in by his charm and shop elsewhere.
